introducing
The Solarium Garden Line
Hello! Allow me to introduce you to The Solarium Garden Line*.
These lovely wee Faeries come from a land of warm sunlight and clear starry nights. They have travelled far to reach us and have been looking for something to remind them of home.
We tried serval different things, but in the end, it was the solariums that set their wings aflutter. They felt the warm kiss of sunshine as they lounged on a bed of moss, greens and flowers inside the glass solarium. Later, they enjoyed the dazzling display of stars in the night sky as they drifted off to sleep.
These beautiful Faeries are approximately 4cm (1.5 in) in height, cleverly made with wooden pony beads, and dressed in elaborate gowns made from only the finest silk flower petals and magical wings. A metallic wire wraps the head bead to make the body, and layers of petals are added to create her attire. Their hair is made from yarn, metallic wire or cotton floss. The jars themselves measure 16cm (5.5) in height including the wooden disc.
Visit our solarium line tab to read more about these unique gardens and to view more photos.
January 1, 2023
With a new year here, the nursery has great plans over the next 12 months.
There will be an introduction of a new Faerie Door, a few new Faerie Lines including Tassels, Butterflies and Dragonflies, Lightning Bug Jars and Castles in the Sky
(please note though that all of these titles are probably going to change as they
slowly go through the development phases
although I can't promise that all of these projects will be fulfilled in 2023).
I'm excited to be back in the Nursery working, designing, production and yes, playing once again.
It has been a long hiatus since I've been able to be here in the Nursery
(well, looking back, the Nursery moved to its new location in 2016)
and a LOT has happened in the meantime.
With support from Hubby Dearest, family, friends and the two woof woofs, I hope to make 2023 a wonderful time to be back working.
I hope that all of you have continued to follow the Nursery through our various social media pages (yes, those too have been neglected for far too long) will continue to be here on our journey.
I wish you all a very prosperous, healthy and most of all a year filled with magic, wonder and love.

A POEM
written just for me!
I am humbled, touched, surprised and in awe of this poem written by a friend, a confidant and a true leader. You have always been filled with surprises and amazing talents, who knew that you could write poetry as well? I will treasure this poem forever. Thank you Trish.
THE RIVER FAIRY
While walking through a forest grove down beside the river,
A saw the ferns along the canopy's edge suddenly begin to quiver.
But there was no breeze or other force causing them to wiggle.
And as I paused to ponder that, I thought I heard a giggle.
Then a small figure appeared out from behind an old fir tree.
And a voice whispered in my ear; 'Rejoice, for it is she.'
Black hair flowed over her shoulders, wisps framed her lovely face,
Around each delicate wrist were silver ribbons of spiderweb lace.
Her flowing blue robe rippled at her feet, like waves upon the shore,
Woven petals with sparkling dew drops formed the necklace that she wore.
A kaleidoscope encircling her head made a delightful spinning crown,
The forest birds singing in harmony was the most enchanting sound.
I watched as the beauty, the butterflies and birds of a feather,
Danced in joy and celebration of this joining together.
To give loving thanks to the river for its gifts never-ending,
And embrace the peaceful vibrations the river was sending.
By now the sun had reached the very west edge of the sky,
Pink light let them know that it was time to say good-bye.
But before the birds and the butterflies would set off to go,
Each presented before her and each bowed their head low.
As she returned to her tree home, she faded from sight,
And the forest became still as it welcomed the night.
Who invites winged treasures to galas so merry?
Emmanuelle, the River Fairy.

WOW! Wasn't 2020 a doozy for the world, for humanity and life as we know it!
Just as everyone else, this Faerie was on lockdown for most of year.
I managed to spend some time in development of new product lines and started to purchase supplies.
Even though I wasn't able to spend much time on updating current listings,
our Etsy page was still busy with views and even a few sales.
I did however get to spend a few days coated in sparkles as I did my annual donation of Christmas wreaths, a whopping 12 (including our own)!! This year however I managed to cover the kitchen floor and cupboards in drop cloths in order to help 'contain' the pretty sparkles from spreading throughout the whole house. Yes, this was a success but as we all know, sparkles do have a tendency to want to decorate 'everything' so my house is still sparkly and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I have added the photos of this years wreaths under the blog tab.

Happy International Faerie Day
It’s hard to believe, but then again, no it’s not that hard to believe (when you believe)
that another year has come and gone and here we are here together on another
International Faerie’s Day.
The faeries themselves have been hard at work trying to the get the garden ready to celebrate.
Invites went out in the mail weeks ago, with faeries from around the world
responding with their RSVP’s arriving in the post, well post haste.
Tent has been erected and decorated with blossoms, tinsel, twinkle lights and balloons.
Tables have been set up with pretty ribbons, colour coordinated plates, napkins
and silverware that reflects the sun.
Can you hear the little tiny jingle bells ringing,
just over and above the songs of the birds singing in the garden.
What about itty bitty fireworks, can see you all those amazing colours?
Can you imagine the taste of those wee cakes just fresh out of the oven,
you know the ones with the sprinkles on top?
How about the aroma of the fruity tea being poured into the fine china teacups with the matching saucers and for those that prefer a colder variety, ice cubes are frozen.
The birds have been practicing what seems like night and day now for at least a week if not more
(I’m sure that they will all be in tune when it comes to the grand finale).
Squirrels and chipmunks alike have promised to not sneak away with any snacks
until after the party is over that is.
The deer have been keeping their word and not snacking on all of the pretty flowers
(yes, even the wee ones have been on their best behaviour).
Speaking of flowers, and as if on cue,
the roses are in full bloom along with the wild daisies that grow along the laneway.
Now, what are we missing. Checklist please….
√Music – birds choir
√Entertainment – fireworks
√Food – cakes
√Drinks – hot & cold teas
√Shelter – tent
√Tables – silverware, linens and fine china
√Decorations - flowers and twinkle lights
I think that the Nursery is ready.
Please won’t you join us in celebrating International Faerie Day, June 24th, 2019.

It has been a crazy year here at the Nursery....
I've been busy setting up the photo booth area and a work station. Purchased tons of new products and spent the time to organize it all in labelled containers. Got a new iMac and iPad Pro to help me try to keep my little company going. And I've been making sure to jot down the dreams that I've been having for new ideas for the Nursery.
2018 seen the announcement of the Calendar Line of Faeries (that I still haven't posted on Etsy yet!).
2019 will see the launch of a new Line of Faeries and a Faerie Garden that happens to have a seashell!!
From me, Faerie Amma and all of my Faerie Friends... we wish you a blessed and Happy New Year.

"... the faeries come from North of 60, and are born as seedpods
on the boreal forest floor whenever shooting stars graze a band of Aurora or the glow of the midnight sun - or at least that's the legend."
